About the Park

Mission Statement

The Friends of Knox Farm State Park is a 501c3 not-for-profit community organization set up to provide a voice for the park's unique and diverse resources. We are a group of park users whose efforts are dedicated to supporting and enhancing an irreplaceable component in the quality of life that our region has to offer us.

We strive to provide interesting opportunities for people so that they might develop a special relationship with the park and contribute to its programs and stewardship.

Knox Farm State Park is located adjacent to the historic village of East Aurora, New York. It is the former country estate of Buffalo's Knox Family, and spans 633 acres, containing a number of habitats, including grasslands, woodlands, ponds and wetlands. The Knox Farm, located within the park, is still home to a number of farm animals, including horses, sheep, and llamas.
