  The next Friends of Knox Farm State Park Board of Directors Meeting is scheduled for April 18, 2013.

  The Board discussed the BPO Concert, The Main House, the Junior League Decorators Show House, upcoming events such as the Holiday Art Show.

Board Meeting

  Discussions included funding for the BPO, funding for the kitchen, Junior League Show House, fixing the plumbing in the main house, membership and the rehabilitation of the greenhouse.

Board Meeting

  Discussions included the possibility of the BPO coming to the park on June 27, 2013 for which we would have to raise funding. The Junior League Showhouse, the kitchen for the showhouse, volunteers e-mails, Dana Saylor historian.

  Introduction of new Board of Directors. Topics of discussion included Junior League Showhouse, Dots Excercise, Seven to Save, Overview of the Friends, State and Town Relationships

  The Annual Meeting will take place at 6pm at the Main House in Knox Farm State Park.

  Slate of New Directors approved. By-law changes approved.

  Discussion of the Preservation Plus Tour that will take place in the park on September 25. Discussion of nominations for prospective Board Members and the need to change the by-laws. Steve Golyski gave a preliminary report on the state of the buildings in the park. Paige Wettlaufer gave a preliminary report on the buildings in the park from a Public Relations Perspective. The Friends will donate Trees to the Park.

  The Seven to Save Committee attended the meeting. Discussed Main House Friends Management Leasing Agreement. Steve Golyski gave a preliminary report on the state of the buildings in the park. Paige Wettlaufer gave a preliminary report on the buildings in the park from a Public Relations Perspective.

Board Meeting

  Tania Werbizky from the Preservation League of New York State was our guest speaker. The entire board and Members of the "Seven to Save Committee" discussed the park and Seven to Save.

I Love My Park Day

  Many volunteers and Friends Members gathered at the park to help clean benches, rake and fix gardens. Thank you so much to all who attended. It was a beautiful day.

April 25

House Subcommittee Meeting

  The State will draft an MoU, (Memorandum of Understanding), which will be an agreement between the NYSOPRHP, and the Friends of Knox Farm State Park, Inc. It will not be difficult. It will outline responsibilities between the two parties.

April 19

SEVEN TO SAVE ANNOUNCEMENT

  The Preservation League of New York State made a formal announcement in the Main House in Knox Farm State Park that the entire park has been designated and one of New York State's Seven Endangered, Historic Properties. The Friends Board, Friends Members, select Polititians and the Media were present for the announcement.

Board Meeting

  The Board was told that pending a signed agreement, the Friends would be given the opportunity to lease the downstairs of the house to the public for gatherings. Proceeds would go into a designated account ear-markedfor main house rehabilitation.
