The Knox Farm State Park is located adjacent to the historic village of East Aurora, New York. It is the former country estate of Buffalo's Knox Family, and spans 633 acres, containing a number of habitats, including grasslands, woodlands, ponds and wetlands. The Knox Farm, located within the park, is still home to a number of farm animals, including horses, sheep, and llamas.
ACTIVITIES
Winter Activities
The park is as beautiful in the wintertime as it is in other seasons of the year. Hiking, snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing all are allowed in designated areas.
Cross-Country Skiing
The park has many trials which are tracked for cross-country skiing. The trails meander through the woods and across the fields. There are several loops upon which one may embark, some more sheltered than others.
